IRS Release 9.6

This release consolidates the revisions and updates made since version 9.0. Most changes relate to internal registry improvements and maintenance. There are minimal functional changes for registrars.

Registrars should continue performing their standard post-release functional checks (smoke tests) after deployment, following their usual upgrade procedures.

Bugs Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where an incorrect error message appeared when attempting to create a domain name that had a block tag associated with it.

  • When creating or updating a registrar contact, Contact Type is now a required field. Validation has been added to enforce this requirement.
