2025-11-06 Update IRS 9.6 release dates and testing

We are preparing for the next IRS release that includes all the revisions and updates made since version 9.0.

The updated planned schedule for this release is:

• Tuesday 10th February 2026 — 9.6 release into OTE/testing

• Sunday 1st March 2026 — 9.6 release into Production

The IRS release 9.6 change log will be available on the InternetNZ Product Documentation website before it is released to OTE.

Information about the time and length of the maintenance windows will be provided closer to the release dates and will be found on our status page

Your testing window is from 10th February 2026 to 24th February 2026, and we strongly encourage you to test your processes before the release is deployed to production. Testing can continue after this window, but any release changes that pose a material risk must be reported to InternetNZ by the end of the day NZDT on 24th February 2026.
