.nz Registrar Summit 2026 comes to Queenstown
We’re happy to announce that the .nz Registrar Summit is taking place in Queenstown on Monday, 2 November - Tuesday, 3 November 2026. We’re confirming the venue details, and will be in touch once registration opens.

Updated .nz agreements are now in effect
.nz Rules v 3.2 came into effect on 17 March 2026, alongside the updated .nz registrar agreements The rollout of the new agreements was a successful, swift operation, thanks to you all! Please reach out to our Product Support team at registry@internetnz.net.nz if you have any questions.
Domain Lock update
We wanted to give you a brief update on the Domain Lock: we’re working closely with CIRA to have it ready for market in the 2026-2027 financial year. Please let us know if you have any questions about the product or if you’re interested in being involved in our beta phase.
2% .nz growth
Over the last financial year, .nz has grown by 2% - we had 764,987 active domains on 31 March 2026.
.nz has partnered with the Auckland Football Club
In April, .nz partnered with the Auckland Football Club for a brand activation utilising in-stadium media, digital activation and co-branded assets. So if you were at the last couple of home games, you could see the familiar logo with .nz, Your trusted home online message. We will keep you posted on how this experimental partnership goes, but we’re very excited to try this new format in driving awareness of the .nz value proposition.
