.nz Registrar Summit is on 25-26 September, and we have international guests coming!

Location: Peppers Clearwater Resort, Christchurch
Accommodation: it’s on us, and we need to book your rooms ASAP
Livestream and recording: Can’t come but still want to participate? We hear you! We’ll livestream all the sessions, and then we’ll share the recording.
During the Summit, we’ll cover all things .nz: tech, business, marketing, data, and compliance. We’ll also bring in other registries’ perspectives.
Adam Eisner, Vice-President, .CA & Registry Services at CIRA will join us for two days in-person, discussing Hello Registry roadmap and sharing .ca insights.
InternetNZ Registry System is a part of the wider Hello Registry ecosystem, so seeing the bigger picture of what’s coming for the IRS is a unique opportunity.
Sharon Copeland-Smith, the Chief Operating Officer at auDA will attend the Summit and will join other panellists to talk about the future of the domain name industry.
At auDA, Sharon is responsible for the secure, reliable operation of the .au domain name system and the effective operation of the .au Licensing Framework.
Andy Ellis, Managing Director at Dot Kiwi will share insights about growing a gTLD together with registrars. Andy will also shout us a registrar dinner - so if you ever wanted to meet the All Blacks legend, coming to the .nz Registrar Summit is the way!

Have your say on the .nz Rules changes affecting registrars
We’re proposing some updates to the .nz Rules that govern .nz domain names, and we’d like your feedback. The proposed changes include:
updates to align the language through uniform terms in the .nz Rules and our agreements
updates to reflect a new Domain Lock product (a security feature that protects against domain names being transferred or altered without permission)
amendments to enhance the accuracy of data in the .nz Register of domain names.
The consultation opens on 1 September 2025, and feedback is welcome until 26 September 2025. All information, including details on how to make a submission, will be available on our consultations page from 1 September.
