nz Registrar Summit – September 2025
The .nz Registrar Summit 2025 will take place in Peppers Clearwater Resort in Christchurch on 25-26 September, and we would love to host you there. Further details about the Summit will be available shortly, but we wanted to give you an early heads-up so you can save the date and start planning a visit to the Garden City!
Wholesale fee increase reminder
On 1 July NZST, the wholesale fee for .nz domain names will increase from $18.00 NZD to $22.00 NZD. The new fee will apply to newly created and renewed domains in all second levels.
This is the first price change since 2020, caused by a sustained and significant increase in the costs of product infrastructure, resourcing, and general operational expenses that can no longer be absorbed.
Please reach out to registry@internetnz.net.nz if you have any questions regarding the wholesale fee increase.

Co-marketing opportunities in 2025
We are looking forward to increasing our marketing collaboration with you in the coming year. We will be announcing a number of campaigns in 2025, including the potential for you to co-market with us. Our JumpStarter initiative will also continue to grow its influence and reach this year; we are excited to build this source of qualified leads for you.
Conflicted names process reminder
This is a friendly reminder that the existing conflicted names process will be retired on 1 July 2025
Conflicted domain name holders have all received an email stating that if they would like to register the conflicted second level .nz domain name, they still have time to use the existing process until 1 July.
It’s unlikely that your support team would have any customer requests related to the conflicted names. However, if some requests come through, please, refer the domain name holders to the DNC website for more information on the resolution process
