General ======= Where do I find IRS help and documentation? ------------------------------------------- In the portal you can access the help section from the question mark icon at the top right. You can find full documentation of the new system here :ref:`irsote` What are the requirements for Portal and API access? ----------------------------------------------------- To be able to access the portal or the EPP API you must have a valid and active username and password combination and the IP address you are connecting from must be whitelisted under the appropriate section in the IP Allowlist Settings section in the portal. The portal help section has the specific information on `IP address whitelisting `_ What are the user account username and password requirements? -------------------------------------------------------------- Usernames must be from two (2) to sixteen (16) characters in length and consist only of alphanumeric characters (lowercase a to z, uppercase A to Z,or numerals 0 to 9), underscores, hyphens, or @ characters. Passwords for EPP users must be sixteen (16) characters in length and for portal user accounts must be a minimum of sixteen (16) characters in length and they must consist only of alphanumeric characters (lowercase a to z, uppercase A to Z,or numerals 0 to 9), underscores, hyphens, and special characters. .. note:: EPP user account passwords cannot use the ampersand (&) character. How do I reset my users password? ------------------------------------------- For Portal and EPP users you can to log in to the portal as an admin user and go to the Admin > Users section. Search for the user and click on the username when that is displayed. Enter and confirm the new password in the Reset Password section at the bottom right and then click the green Update User button at the top of the left hand menu panel. You should then see "The command executed successfully" shown in green at the top right of the page. For Portal users only you can use the Forgot Password link on the portal login page. Enter the User ID for the user concerned and click the Submit button. An email will then be sent to the email address of the user account with a link to reset your credentials. When you click on this link the Update Password screen appears. If you are using two-factor authentication, you will first be asked to enter your one-time two-factor authentication code. If the code is correct, then the Update Password screen appears. Will reports be available for automated handling e.g. via SFTP (Secure File Access Protocol)? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once we have a better understanding of your requirements we are happy to explore options and analyse the viability of providing automated handling of reports. Will there be two OTE registrar IDs for testing? ------------------------------------------------ Yes there will be two OTE registrar IDs for testing. How many IP addresses can I add to the allowlist? ------------------------------------------------- Allowlists for Portal, EPP and TBR are limited to 10 entries each. For the Portal and EPP allowlist entries can be single IP addresses or networks in `CIDR form `_ from a /32 to a /16. For the TBR allowlist only single IP addresses are allowed. Where can we get a list of domains and their respective expiration dates? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you log in to the portal as a user with Admin privileges and go to the Admin > Registrar Settings page, at the bottom of the left hand menu is a Domain List option. That will create a csv file which you can download and it will detail the following information for each domain under your registrar account Domain Name Life Cycle State Life Cycle State Ends Created Date Expire Date Registrant ID Registrant Name Organization Registry Lock Status Are any .nz domains considered premium domains? ------------------------------------------------ No. Premium domains are not used in IRS. All .nz domains are the same wholesale fee of $18.00 NZD per year.
